EMCON [em-kon] – Emissions ControlSuppressors have been around for decades, but ammunition has really never been specifically designed for them.  Dropping the FPS below the speed of sound and calling it “Subsonic” does not make it optimized for suppressor use.  Factory loaded Subsonic rounds typically use dirty powders and primers which can accelerate baffle corrosion inside the can. Using our proprietary HyperClean technology, HPR has designed the EMCON line from the ground up with both decibel-drop and cleanliness in mind. The use of a Total Metal Jacket projectile completely insulates the lead core from powder flash, reducing lead emissions that collect in the suppressor body.  All of these factors help EMCON deliver a superior shooting experience to the suppressed firearm owner.
